ADDITIONS TO OPERATIONS ORDER NO. 111 AND 112, HQ, 55TH
BOMB WING FOR 2 JULY 1944.
Mustangs of the 8th Air Force will operate
with this Air Force on 2 July 1944. These aircraft have black and white stripes
on their wing tips and the following lettering on their fuselages: WD, GP, VP
and F. Three squadrons have red noses and one blue noses. These aircraft will be
free lancing over the target area. Brief your crews to be on the alert for these
aircraft.
